MINUTES 

The Town Council of the Town of Kinsey held its regular meeting on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 6:00 pm at the Senior Building.  

Mayor Jason Reneau called the meeting to order.  

Others present were Council Members Cindy Gaylor, Tina Nowlin, Tommy Ferguson, Gene Sims, King Thomas, Town Clerk Rachel Exum, Water Operator Max Colon and several citizens of the community. Absent was Council Members Veleta Watson and Vivian Jones.  

Council Member King Thomas opened the meeting with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.  

Council Member Tina Nowlin made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 5, 2024 meeting and Council Member Gene Sims second. All were in favor so the motion carried.  

Council Member Tina Nowlin made a motion to approve the financials for June 2024 and Council Member Cindy Gaylor second. All were in favor so the motion carried.  

Council Member Tommy Ferguson made a motion to approve Willie Ealey to be the new member for the Board of Adjustments. Council Member Gene Sims second and all were in favor so the motion carried.  

Council Member Tommy Ferguson made a motion to cancel the Council Meeting for September 2, 2024 because of it being the Labor Day Holiday. Council Member King Thomas second and all were in favor so the motion carried.  

The Mayor and the Council went into the Administrative Meeting and the following items were moved to the next Council Agenda. 

General Business: 

Winer Conference for the Town Clerk in November 

Magistrate Class in November 

Budget for Oct. 2024 to Sept. 2025 

Council Member Tina Nowlin made a motion to adjourn and Council Member Cindy Gaylor second. All were in favor so the meeting was adjourned.
